The Advanced String Chamber Camp

Featuring the Phoenix Quartet as coaches

Gabe Bolkosky, violin
Anthea Kreston, violin
Jason Duckles, cello

The Phoenix String Quartet in its new formation is looking forward to working with chamber groups at Peaks to Plains' Advanced Chamber Camp this July. Members of the quartet have known one another for years, but for this camp they will gather from all over the United States. Violinist Gabriel Bolkosky lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he teaches at the University of Michigan and heads a nonprofit arts organization, The Phoenix Ensemble, that holds two chamber music workshops each summer. Violinist Anthea Kreston and cellist Jason Duckles are two-thirds of the Amelia Piano Trio, which was mentored by Isaac Stern, has been ensemble in residence for National Public Radio and the Green Lake Chamber Music Camp, and teaches at the Hartt School of Music and Connecticut College. And violist Tatjana Mead Chamis is associate principal viola of the Pittsburgh Symphony and has performed at the Caramoor International Music Festival and many other festivals and workshops nationwide.
