2 week Advanced Chamber Music Immersive Program with the Bayberry Quartet

for advanced Violin (book 6 and up), Viola (book 5 and up), Cello (book 5 and up),

Flute (book 7 and up), and Piano (book 6 and up) students ages 14-22

or by teacher recommendation

This immersive chamber music experience is for advanced musicians who want to focus on chamber music skills. We welcome already established groups as well as independent musicians that will be organized into new groups.

*No audition is required to participate!*

The first week will be held online (July 10-14, 2023 2 hrs/day) and will focus on foundational aspects of chamber music playing and preparation of individual parts by creating multi-track recordings using an online Digital Audio Workstation. This revolutionary online preparation week, created by Gabe Bolkosky of the Bayberry Quartet, will ensure high levels of preparation so that when musicians gather in person the second week at PPSI (July 17-21, 2023) they can feel freedom from the notes of their individual parts, feel familiar with the other parts, and therefore engage in high level chamber music study in their rehearsals and coachings. The two weeks working exclusively with the Bayberry Quartet will culminate in an amazing final concert performance.
