*****NEW Programming for 2024!!*****

Our instrument-specific Advanced Programs are now combined with our Advanced Chamber Program to bring you the best of PPSI Advanced Programming in ONE amazing program!

PPSI 2024 ADVANCED STUDENT PROGRAM is a full-day experience for serious middle school and high school (or by teacher recommendation) instrumentalists who are studying repertoire in the later Suzuki books as well as for those who are studying the standard repertoire beyond the Suzuki literature. *No audition is required to participate.*

Our advanced program is open to violinists (book 6 and up), violists (book 5 and up), cellists (book 6 and up), flutists (book 7 and up), and pianists (book 6 and up) whether participating in a Suzuki program or not or by teacher recommendation.

Students in the Advanced Program will gather together on July 13-14 to work exclusively with the Bayberry Quartet to focus on chamber music skills. During these two days, students will get to know each other, rehearse and attend group coachings with their individual chamber group, and gather together in large group discussions and master classes. Chamber Music study with the Bayberry Quartet will continue July 15-19 alongside further programming on their individual instrument (see faculty below) that includes technique classes, repertoire classes, master classes, and a Music Maker's Workshop enrichment class.

Music Maker's Enrichment Workshop: Improvisation and Composition will teach advanced musicians how to create multi-layered musical moments with friends or on their own with the use of electronics. Daily activities in a safe, supportive group environment will help each student develop their own unique musical voice and improvisational skill through fun games and mini-projects. The workshop will also include instruction on the basics of playing amplified string instruments with electronic effects. Whether your goal is to be your own rock band, jam with friends, or simply to sample what it's like to augment your sound with the use of electronics, you are sure to come out of this course inspired and more confident than ever in your unique creative abilities.
