Student Honors Solo Recital Application
Institute participants have the opportunity to perform in the Student Honors Recitals at the noon concerts on Tuesday and Wednesday. If you would like to be considered as a soloist for the Student Honors Recital, you are invited to audition by submitting a YouTube video recording of a well-polished and memorized piece with accompaniment. Solo pieces written to be performed solo without an accompaniment may also be submitted (ex. Solo Bach). It is an honor to be selected and candidates must demonstrate good posture, high quality technique, and exceptional musicianship. The piece you submit will be your performance piece. Consideration will also be given to a variety of ages, levels, and instruments.
Directions:
1. Upload your performance with accompaniment to YouTube and include the shareable link in your application below (you may unlist your video so that it is not searchable but please make the video viewable by anyone with the shareable link).

3. Have your teacher email a brief recommendation (details in application below)
Application, teacher recommendation, and YouTube link to the video recording must ALL be received on or before May 4, 2026. Students will be notified by the beginning of June. Practice time with the accompanist at the institute will be arranged according to the recital you are performing in. Dress clothes are required for the Honors Recital performances.
